This photo is deliberate in the way that it is set up, but it still conveys a message, multiple even. The first one is exploration or getting out there and seeing all that the world has to offer. That effect is because of the telescope that he has, as well as the backpack. Put those two things together along with the rock and the sunset, and you have the well explored look that these pictures convey. Another possible message this could be conveying…it’s ok to be alone sometimes. This may be an odd message, but just think about the beauty that is around him, and he is alone, but it’s almost like he is finding himself in a way. In order to find the message in a picture, you definitely have to look deeper into it.
